When Telstar moved to a prestigious new site in Mortlake, London, they knew how crucial it would be get get their comms cabling right first time. That's why they came to Betec.

Following advice from principle Keith Pope of Betec, - IT Managers at Telstar - chose RW Data's Cabling Sciences' Category 5 enhanced structure cabling system. This would give his company data, voice, tv and video distribution within both their new buildings.

Betec was commissioned to design and install the cabling layout within tight timescales.

A total of 620 Alpha Snap Cat 5E outlets were installed. These were connected to RW Data's latest range of Cat 5E Alpha Snap patch panels. RW Data Global patch panels were used for voice connections, each customised with the Telstar logo.
The majority of the patch panels were installed in 2 x 37U cabinets within the computer room. The remainder were located in a 37U cabinet within the accounts office, with two further 17U wall cabinets mounted in the director's suite.
The job was completed on time and to budget.
